…on Retailers beyond Material Goods

If you have an Amazon Prime account, have purchased a new iPhone or had your Target order sent to your home, you’re very aware that those Retailers aren’t just offering material goods anymore. From delivery services like Prime, Shipt and Instacart, streaming services like Hulu included with your T-Mobile plan, AppleTV+ when you buy a new phone, and more - retailers have recognized the value exchange in offering more than tangible goods.

Now, more than ever, offering more services extends brand loyalty and creates unique customer-centric opportunities that retailers are identifying. To grow customer bases, gain a greater understanding of behavior in the physical and digital worlds and provide true value to consumers is front-and-center. If you’re at all questioning that as a reality, look no further than the announcement this week that Walmart+ memberships will now include access to Paramount+ Streaming services.

If you’re a CPG prioritizing which Retail Media Network(s) are best for your business, the ability to think about pairing retail data with streaming service inventory could be lightning in a bottle. Obviously the access exists in some ways already with all that Amazon Prime has made available, but it’s the beginning, not the end.

If your company is thinking about how to best align with the Retail Media ecosystem, look no further than The Kramer Consult to help prioritize, navigate and engage.
